50 members of the NUEW’s branch in Germany arrive in here
50 members of the National Union of Eritrean Women (NUEW) branch in Germany from 28 German cities arrived in Asmara yesterday to take part in the independence celebrations and the inauguration of a Nfa. 7-million women’s training center in Barentu.
The Chairwoman of the branch, Ms. Mebrat Habtu, said that they have been closely following progress in the construction of the center and making the necessary contribution.
Ms. Mebrat noted that the aim of the training center is to equip women with the required knowledge and help promote gender equality.
An executive committee member of the branch, Ms. Saba Sium, stated on her part that they made arrangements for the inauguration of the Center to coincide with the Independence Day anniversary.
Upon arrival at Asmara International Airport the Chairperson of the National Union of Eritrean Women, Ms. Luul Gebreab, accorded the group warm welcome.
